Here's to Being Gruntled
Happy Women’s Validation Day! (aka, Disgruntled* Female Hallmark Employees’ Day.) Around here February is birthday month. Husband’s and Baby’s are three days apart, and this year was Baby’s first! So that means we have...
robot flags,
cupcakes,
a great Mexican spread,
and, of course, chocolate cake.
So now I have a walking, teething, almost-talking little person to run around after. Luckily, he still takes two naps a day, so I have time to work on this:
Yes, I went ahead and bought the pattern. And after hyperventilating looking through 45 pages of instructions, I calmed down, watched a few videos online about sewing, and announced to Husband, “I can do this!” It’ll take months, but I’m enjoying the process. It will be a present for Baby’s second birthday.
Or third.
Maybe fourth.
(*This morning when I thought of the word disgruntled, I wondered, “If disgruntled means to be discontented, what does gruntled mean?” I didn’t even think it was a real word. But, lo and behold, it is. It means to put in a good humor. So, I hope all of you were gruntled at some point today!)

How cute is that book! And I didn't know that gruntled is a word. I'm using that tomorrow. :)
